WHAT
WE DO
As an organization we have been asked to provide many different services for the unsheltered and houseless in this community. Certainly we understand that there are many different ways this community can reach our and provide special services. We have seen different organizations do many amazing things, even through COVID. We have seen the Helping Hands Food Bank make massive changes to their delivery program and the Friendship House develop yet another housing program to meet our neighbors needs. These program are done well and we appreciate the reach and connection with Skagit County.
At Skagit Connections, we provide showers. It happens to be a place to "Come Clean" or "Start Again" but our job is to encourage hygiene and provide the warm splash. We will work with local agencies, churches, and non-profits to provide (upon request) resources -- but we provide showers...without judgement, without preaching, without regard to where each individual has been or will be. We really do want to share, cast, project, encompass and love MERCY.
